How do I book a nurse with LGANC?

Which areas of New Providence do you serve?

We serve all of New Providence — from Lyford Cay and Cable Beach through downtown Nassau, the Eastern Road, Fox Hill, Carmichael, South Beach and Paradise Island.

How quickly can a nurse come?

Accepted Answer

Many requests are scheduled within 24 to 48 hours. Same-day support is sometimes possible depending on availability — call or WhatsApp us directly for urgent (non-emergency) needs.

Question 4

Can I book from overseas for a relative in Nassau?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Many of our clients are booked by family living abroad. Step 4 of the booking flow lets you enter both the client's details and your own as the booker, and we can update you by WhatsApp after each visit.

Question 5

Is CareVan an ambulance?

Accepted Answer

No. CareVan is non-emergency, nurse-assisted medical transport. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 919 or go to the nearest emergency department immediately.

Question 6

Can you accommodate a wheelchair or someone who needs transfer help?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Tell us in the booking form what assistance is needed — walker, wheelchair, or physical transfer support — and we will plan the trip accordingly.

Do you wait during the appointment?

Accepted Answer

We can. Let us know the expected appointment length and select a return trip in the booking form so we can hold the time for you.

Are you a licensed nurse?

Accepted Answer

Yes. LGANC is nurse-led by Rhawnie, RN, a licensed registered nurse practising in The Bahamas. Credentials are verified and available on request.

Question 9

Can you prescribe medication?

Accepted Answer

No. Nurses do not prescribe. We manage, organise and administer medications prescribed by your physician, and we will advise you when a doctor's review is needed.

Question 10

Do you replace my doctor?

Accepted Answer

Never. LGANC works alongside your physician and care team, and we encourage sharing our visit notes with them.

How do I pay?

Payment options are shown at Step 6 of the booking flow. Online card payments will be processed through Cash N' Go / PayLanes when that integration goes live; today you can also confirm and settle by bank transfer, cash or card on the day of service.

Is my health information kept private?

Yes. Clinical details are handled confidentially and only shared with people you authorise.

Do you offer packages?

Yes — recurring chronic care and post-surgical visit packages are available. Mention it in your booking notes and we'll build a plan with you.
